There is an excellent, full length (I'd estimate around 20 hours) training session over at channel9. They have used a professional trainer (Ian Griffiths) and the whole kit, which includes labs and source code, is extremely well presented. |
I'd suggest that anyone looking to develop in SL4, especially with RIA Services, should work your way through this. Even though I had a decent background in the technology, this has introduced and clarified a number of features for me.
The modules are;

- Event Manager using WCF RIA Services
- User Registration with Authentication, Validation, Rich Text, Styling and Commands, plus MVVM
- User Profile with Drop Target, Webcam and Clipboard
- Schedule Planner with Grouping and Right Clip
- Printing the Schedule
- Event Dashboard Running Out of the Browser
- Advanced Out of Browser and MEF
That doesn't really do justice the extensive feature coverage – head over to Channel9 and set aside a couple of days to go throught this excellent course.
